Education & Career
In addition to her comprehensive expertise in data protection law, Kathlyn has extensive knowledge of contract, civil and media law. Her other areas of expertise include the handling of personal data in the energy sector as well as in the field of science and research. She advises large companies as well as NGOs and start-ups, with a focus on the Austrian and German markets. Through her international career, she brings experience from numerous international fields and demonstrates a sound ability to act in diverse international contexts.
Kathlyn’s client work includes implementing data protection management and advising on data protection issues in all client departments. Her main areas of activity include online and on-site audits at client sites, monitoring the implementation of data protection measures, conducting data protection training and generally supporting projects with regard to data protection and the various requirements of the GDPR.
Alongside her postgraduate studies in international law and constitutional law, Kathlyn completed a Master’s degree (LL.M.) at the University of Cologne, Germany, focusing on publicity, regulation, and investment protection. While studying law at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, she also participated in a one-year study abroad program at the University Pierre-Mendès-France in Grenoble.
