Education & Career

Phillip Richdale programs since being a teenager for 37 years now. Before the web, Phillip was already programming for mobile handheld computers and was active online in the early 90s in the forerunners of the WWW and as a columnist and editor of a youth magazine in the early days of professional DTP.

For 25 years he works as a web software developer and in related areas.

Character

Phillip is developing and consulting full-time for the web with free, open source software technologies since 25 years.

He has contributed to numerous teams and projects in software development and digital media production and played a decisive role in developing these projects and products to market maturity. He was responsible for the software architecture, technical management and work organization for many successful projects and products, from marketing and online editing to web applications for vertical markets such as the medical sector, e-learning, online media trade, tourism, ERP and e-commerce to game development for a large German provider in the international gaming market. His creative training and his experience in design, DTP and media production, branding as well as digital user guidance and user experience (UI/UX) were and are a helpful addition to his everyday work.
