Daniel Schmitz-Wegner is the managing director of KINAST Innovations Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH. As a lawyer and certified data protection officer, he controls and coordinates the know-how management of our law firm and ensures that our consultants are always provided with the best possible knowledge and information to guarantee optimal consulting at a high level.

Education & Career

As a „native of Cologne“, Daniel has been loyal to our office since it’s birth. He studied law at the University of Cologne and focused his studies on international business law. During and even before his studies, Daniel worked as a programmer and was involved in the creation of websites, databases and individual business applications. A soft spot for technology even in the private sector is therefore self-explanatory.

Beyond the firm’s know-how management, he is particularly concerned with new technologies. This concerns not only consulting, but also the development of novel products. In doing so, he leads interdisciplinary teams and deals, among other things, with the areas of legal tech, design thinking, legal design & delivery in order to make our services even simpler and more efficient.
